House Policies at the Moderne Hotel
Essential Guest Information for a Pleasant Stay at our boutique hotel
A few house policies are in place to ensure all guests enjoy their stay at our New York City boutique hotel. Read our FAQ for more information.
The Moderne Hotel is 100% Non-Smoking.
Check in starts from 3PM, Check Out is 12PM.
A credit card and valid photo ID is required upon check-in, as well as a valid credit card or debit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and Apple Pay. The card will be authorized for the estimated amount of your entire stay (room rate, an amount for incidentals, plus applicable taxes) and a pre-authorization deposit for incidental charges will be taken. It may take 72 hours or longer after check-out for your bank to release the credit hold on your account (often longer for international guests). The Hotel is not responsible for overdraft charges incurred due to any delay in hold release; if traveling internationally please select your method of payment accordingly.
We love your furry friends! Pets are welcomed at the Moderne, subject to a pet fee. Learn more about our pet-friendly policies. Service Animals are exempt from pet fees.
FAMILY & CHILD POLICY
- One Guest Must be at Least 21 Years Old at the Time of Check-In
- Children under the age of 12 stay free with an accompanying adult
- Extra Adults $20.00 per night

Prepaid Reservations. Your reservation is being held by the credit card provided at the time of booking. The reservation is non-refundable / non-cancellable, and you will be charged the full amount at time of booking.
Cancellable Reservations. Your reservation is being held by the credit card provided at the time of booking. 100% of the first night may be charged anytime after booking. Your credit card may be charged if you do not check in at the Hotel on the scheduled arrival day, if you shorten your scheduled departure after checking-in, or if you do not cancel your reservation in accordance with the cancellation policy.
CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES, AND EARLY DEPARTURES
Prepaid Non-Refundable Reservations: Reservation is non-refundable / non-cancellable, and the credit card provided will be charged the full amount at the time of booking. No changes are authorized.
Cancellable Reservations. Our standard cancellation policy is 24 hours prior to arrival by 3 PM hotel time to avoid penalty fees. Check your specific rate / reservation for applicable policies for your stay. Any change to your arrival or departure date or room type is subject to the Hotel’s availability at the time the modification is requested and may change the rate and/or require payment of cancellation fees.
Rates quoted are based on check-in date and length of stay shown. Should you depart early before the departure date confirmed for any reason, the Hotel may impose an early departure fee.
