New Broadway Shows Coming to NYC this Fall

Fall in New York City is always a special season, and this year Broadway is giving us even more reasons to celebrate. From long-awaited revivals and brand new musicals to Hollywood stars stepping back into the spotlight, the 2025 - 2026 Broadway lineup is packed with must-see productions. Whether you’re a lifelong theater lover or planning your very first night out on Broadway, here are the new shows taking center stage in New York this fall.
1. Art
Yasmina Reza’s praised comedy returns to Broadway in its first revival. Directed by Scott Ellis, Art stars Bobby Cannavale, James Corden, and Neil Patrick Harris taken on a debate over one expensive painting. Is it art, or is it just the world's priciest inside joke? Expect 100 minutes of sharp wit, bruised egos, and big laughs.
Previews start August 28, with opening night set for September 16, running through December 21, 2025 at the Music Box Theatre.
2. Waiting for Godot
This timeless existential classic is getting a star-powered revival at the Hudson Theatre this fall. Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, best known as Bill & Ted, portray the characters of Vladimir and Estragon in this exhilarating, hilarious and deeply human production under the direction of Jamie Lloyd.
Previews begin September 13, 2025, with opening night on September 28, and the run is expected to conclude early in 2026.
3. Beetlejuice
After haunting theaters all over North America, Beetlejuice arrives at its final resting place: Broadway! The delightfully wild and irreverent musical returns for one last run, this fall at the Palace Theatre. Based on Tim Burton's cult classic, this musical tells the story of Lydia Deetz, an unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for striped suits.
The show kicks off October 8, with a 13-week limited engagement running through January 3, 2026.
4. The Queen of Versailles
Inspired by the hit documentary, this brand-new musical at the St. James Theatre tells the story of Jackie and David Siegel’s insane quest to build the largest home in America, modeled after the Palace of Versailles. With a staggering $100 million budget, the Queen of Versailles illustrates their pursuit of the American dream. Expect spectacle, drama, and plenty of jaw-dropping moments as Broadway takes on reality’s most outrageous fairytale, starring Broadway darling Kristin Chenowith.
The show begins previews October 8 and opens the first week of November, running into late summer 2026.
5. Tom Felton in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Harry Potter fans, take note: Tom Felton, who originated the role of Draco Malfoy in the films, will appear on Broadway for a limited time. Nearly 15 years after his last outing as Draco, Felton’s return promises a wave of nostalgia for fans and a fresh spark for this Tony Award-winning production. Perfect for all ages!
His limited engagement begins November 11, 2025, at the Lyric Theatre and, due to popular demand, has been extended through May 10, 2026.
6. Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York)
This fresh new musical rom-com lights up the Longacre Theatre with charm and heart. Starring Sam Tutty and Christiani Pitts, Two Strangers follows two unlikely companions who, over one whirlwind day in New York City, discover secrets, second chances, and an unexpected connection. Hailed by The Boston Globe as "irresistible, clever, funny, and delightfully surprising," Two Strangers is the Broadway rom-com you didn’t know you needed.
Previews begin November 1, with opening night on November 20.
